That Friday Feeling!!

There is a feeling one gets when Friday comes around, that I think is reserved for no other day of the week.

For some of us, getting through the week days sometimes leaves you feeling a bit frazzled by the time the weekend approaches.

Weekday Frazzle

That feeling of relief that the work week is over gives some a sudden burst of energy and it’s almost miraculous how some people seem to drag themselves from Monday to Thursday but on Friday, there is a pep in their step, a gleam in their eye and an almost palpable energy bouncing off them.

Weekday blues

There are those who try to not make it too obvious that they’re bursting at the seams with the thought of turning off that computer, putting away that folder and closing that office door behind them. πŸ˜€ They surreptitiously give the clock the side-eye, wondering how many minutes before sign-off time they can slip out the door without feeling too brazen. πŸ˜€

For some, they may be the party animals and are anxious to get their weekend going to release some pent-up energy and let off a little steam.

Party Time

Then there are those, who perhaps have long commutes to and from work, who wake up at pre-dawn hours to make the weekly drudge. To them, Fridays mean the anticipation of some much needed rest and late lie-ins. Maybe not so much if they have kids…but hey it’s the thought that counts! πŸ˜€

Sleepy Time

Whatever it is that you’re looking forward to this weekend…be it partying or relaxation, I hope you enjoy it to the max! Be safe, be well and be good…but if you can’t be good, be good at it. πŸ˜‰

  1. The idea of being “on my own” time is what makes the weekend appealing to me. The thought of looking forward to “doing nothing” brings on such a feeling of freedom. If you are in my circle (which is very small), then you are a part of my “doing nothing” and “on my own time”…

This weekend was a hassle for me cause I attended my company’s annual gala.

But here’s hoping your weekend was what you wanted it to be…
