NaPoWriMo Poetry Challenge Day 9…

It’s day 9 of the NaPoWriMo Poetry challenge and today’s prompt asks us to ” take any random song play list (from your iPod, CO player, favorite radio station, Pandora or Spotify , etc.) and use the next five song titles on that randomized list in a poem.”

This was very interesting. I didn’t use a play list but rather put my iPod on shuffle to get a really random selection of song titles.

Here is my random song titles poem:               “Together and Apart… Again”

Together Again

like reunited lovers.

Everything bright and rosy

It all went down hill

faster than a well-greased sled.

She said

she didn’t believe in International Love

and she wasn’t willing to live in

a Pimper’s Paradise.

He was heartbroken

and offered her a Love Serenade…

one she scoffed at.

She used to be Drunk In Love

but she prefers her love sober.

    • Awww…thanks very much my friend! Poetry was my first love (before any other kind of writing) I’ve been having fun with these challenges and getting back up on that old Poetry horse. 🙂 Bless you!
