I’ve made it to Day 14 of the NaPoWriMo poetry challenge. Today’s prompt is called “Twenty Questions.” “The idea is to write a poem in which every sentence, except for the last one, is in the form of a question.”
Why is it people always say “don’t sweat the small stuff”?
Why do the tough get going when the going gets tough?
Why is a missing thing always found in the first spot?
Why do people say “I’m alright” when they’re not?
Why is it always darkest before dawn?
Why do we close our eyes when we yawn?
Why do we question so many things?
Questions seek answers and the peace knowledge brings.
