A Haiku for Scandal

In honor of National Poetry Day 8th October 2015, actress Kerry Washington challenged Scandal fans and viewers

to write a haiku in honor of the show.

For those unfamiliar with the Japanese poetry form, a haiku is basically a verse which consists of 17 syllables divided into three lines of 5, 7 and 5 syllables. It normally uses evocative comparisons and allusions.

This is my haiku on Scandal:

Lies, deceit and love.

Power, gladiator skills;

all describe Scandal.
